Do I need urine testing if I’m eating well and feel fine?
Because each one of us has a unique biochemistry, we each have unique nutritional needs as well.  Urine testing helps ensure you are getting optimal nutrition.  Even people who say they feel fine may feel improvements after nutritional testing. 

What exactly are you testing for and why?
The urine analysis tests for the following key areas:

    Toxins in the body
The urine test is a 24 hour collection which gives a picture of your body's function over time rather that just a point in time. The urine test is easy, accurate, convenient and can be done in the privacy of your own home.
The information from these tests along with data from the questionnaire and state-of-the-art science about human nutrition allows the scientists to formulate a supplement customized for your needs.

Are your tests scientifically validated?
These tests have been widely recognized in the scientific community as valid and reliable. We use the most advanced laboratory equipment and methods that science has to offer. Our lab has been using these tests reliably for years, primarily for nutritionally-oriented physicians who have sought nutritional and metabolic information to assist their patients in diagnosing problems, enhancing performance or taking preventive measures.

How does this urine analysis compare to a blood nutrition test?
First, blood nutrition testing is costly compared to urine analysis testing.  Second, most blood tests measure the level of certain nutrients in the blood but does not provide information about how those nutrients are processed by the body.
The urine analysis, on the other hand, studies the by-products of cellular function of many systems in the body. This tells us how well the body's various systems are using the nutrients available to them. With that information and other pertinent data, individual needs, deficiencies and surpluses can be determined for various nutrient groups.
Is the test covered by insurance?
You would need to check with your insurance company, however, generally speaking nutritional testing is not covered.  We do not submit claims to insurance companies.  However, we hope that will not deter you.  This program is an investment so that you can reach your ultimate health. 
Will I need to be retested?
We suggest that you retest every 3 months. When it is time to retest, an email notification will be sent you as a reminder. It is also suggested that if a major change in your personal situation occurs, you might want to retest after you have settled into your new routine for a few months.

How long does it take to get my results ?
It takes approximately 10 days for your lab results to be available. When your report is ready, we will send an email notification to you or your doctor. The report is always online for later viewing.

How old must one be to use the program ?
You should be 18 years or older to use our program unless otherwise instructed by your doctor

Can the testing be completed separate from purchase of products?
Yes, the testing can be completed separate from purchase of products, however, the test is specifically designed to provide information for the formulation of custom products.
Can vegetarians take your products ?
Our capsules are bovine (cow). You can open the capsule up and use the powder only in juice, yogurt or on bread.

Is the information from the test or questionnaire going to be used for anything else?
The test is not designed to be diagnostic or to treat any health condition. All information and test results are private and will be held in strict confidence.

Will consumption of alcohol be detected or affect the test results?
For best results, do not drink any alcoholic beverage on the day of the test.

What period of time do the substances analyzed reflect in terms of past history? Is it days, weeks or months?
The substances which are analyzed in the urine analysis reflect processes that are ongoing and are quite stable over a period of several months. The substances can be changed through dietary manipulation, but it takes several months for those changes to show up in the metabolic end points that we are looking at.

That depends on the results of your nutritional questionnaire.  Supplements may be prescribed with meals or at other times of the day.  For optimal results, follow the instruction provided with your report.
How long does it take to see results with Custom Supplements?
Our medical panel recommends that you give the program three months in order to see its full benefits. However you should start to notice some results in about two to three weeks. Additionally, a healthy diet and regular exercise will help your body better adapt to your new supplement program and increase overall well being.

I’m on a diet.  Do I still need to take my Custom Supplements?

Could there be any side effects with the prescription medications I am presently taking?

If you are on any blood thinner or antidepressant, are pregnant, or suffer from liver or kidney disorders, we advise you to consult your doctor prior to starting any supplement program

What is your return policy?
We offer a 100% guarantee on our products.  If you are not satisfied for any reason, we will exchange your order for another product or refund your money within 60 days of the initial purchase date. Simply return the unused portion for a full refund less shipping and handling charges.

Can I find out my order history?
Yes. Your entire order history can be accessed online in your admin area or you can call Customer Service at 1-800-391-9298 to check the status of any order including order history.

When will I receive my order?
Orders received before 4:00 PM (EST) Monday through Friday will be processed the same day. Orders received after 4:00 PM (EST) Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday.

Custom Nutrition Shop uses Airborne Express which usually delivers within 3-5 days. For an additional cost, we will ship your order via UPS next day air.
